Look To the Future

January 1st. A brand new year is about to begin. What an exciting time. We get the oppurtunity to look  back and see all the changes that have been made in our life, see our strengths, see what we can now work on for the coming year. It's a time to make new year resolutions. Time to leave the old and begin the new.

As you begin this brand new year, this piece of counsel is all I have to give, "...look not behind thee..."(Genesis 19:17). Don't look back. Don't dread all the things that you wish you could of accomlished. Don't dread not becoming what you wanted to become, don't dread that you couldn't overcome everything . It's a brand new year. A brand new beginning. We begin this new year with a fresh slate. Ready to go forward with our lives. Let's not focus on our failures, this year they will be accomplishments. You can do it. My hope and prayer is that you begin this year, and have the most fulfilling, exciting, wonderful, spiritual year that you've ever had, and then continue you on with the rest of your life. I know this is possible, with faith in Jesus Christ. You can change? I know you can, and Jesus Christ is right along your side. Have a wonderful beginning of a New Year, 2012.

Tis the season to be Christlike!!!

December. What a wonderful time of the year it is. A time where the snow falls and covers the ground. We can then build snowman, have snowball fights, and hopefully have a few snow days every know and then. We get to enjoy a wonderful cup of hot chocolate while sitting next to the fireplace.

However with all of the great things that we get to do we get caught up with the temporal things. I know I do. Trying to get to the stores to find the right kind of gift for my family and friends. Putting up decoration, lighting up the house to, and in the end the real reason for the season is forgotten. What is it then? What is this holiday, full of snow, gift buying and giving and everything else all about? It's all about the birth of the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. It's a time that we can remember that great gift who God has given to us. It's a time where we get to spend time with the family and build memories that will bless us for the rest of our lives. It's a time of giving to others, not just gifts, but of service. Where we can go about helping those that stand in need of comfort. During this Christmas season I hope that even with all the hustle and the bustle that we can remember the true meaning of Christmas and go about doing good to all mankind. This is the time where we can all be alittle more Christlike by going out and doing some kind of service for those that are in need. What kind of burden can you lift this Christmas season?

I know serving others this Christmas season will help us constantly remember the Savior Jesus Christ, and remember what He did while he was on the Earth, serving Others.  This is the real  reason for the season. God bless and have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Book!!!

This Book! You might be wondering what book is he talking about? Why is this person making a blog about a book? Here is why, the Book of Mormon has changed my life and the course that I'm taking in my life because of it being true.  "The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains the fulness of the everlasting gospel." (Introduction of the Book of Mormon) In this movie is another witness of the changing power of the Book of Mormon, how it feels us with the desire to become more Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon, "Proving to the world that the holy scriptures are true, and that God does inspire men and call them to his holy work in this age and generation, as well as in generations of old;" (Doctrine and Covenants 20:11). The Book of Mormon along with proving to the world that all scripture given to us is true, along with that it answers the questions of our soul: Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where do I along with my family goes after we die? I know the Book of Mormon to be true.

Along with Chris Cook I've gradually come to know that the Book of Mormon is true, with experiencing the peaceful feeling of the Holy Ghost that were brought to me in reading the Book of Mormon. Along with these in reading the Book of Mormon I came to the knowledge also by asking my Father in Heaven (God) in the name of Jesus Christ, with a sincere desire wanting to know if the Book of Mormon is true ( See Moroni 10:3-5) It has changed everything that I do, think, say, because it feels me with the desire to follow and become more like our Savior Jesus Christ in whom 'this book' testifys of.  Why not read and pray about 'this book' to see the changes in can bring into your life?

God's Great love!

I just want all of you to know the great love that I have for every single one of you. No matter the circumstances that you are in, weither you don't think that you have any self worth and your just having a struggling day I know that the knowledge that will be shared: that God is our Loving Hevenly Father and loves you greater then no other person can will greatly benefit you lives.
Along with that is the knowledge that we all of us our God's children. That's our true identity. Think about it. We are children of the most High God who only wants what's best for you. Think about all the things he does every day to strengthen you in this knowledge. It's been one of the greatest blessings, is to come to know who I truly am! I know that you can come to this knowledge also. I know that God loves you! Don't ever give up. Ponder this clip from Elder Utchdorf and I know that as you come to feel the spirit and to pray and ask your Hevenly Father he will revel unto you Your True Identity!

One decison, can bring so many consequences!

Just on thought, just one choice, just once can is all it takes. It starts today. Let's be comitted. You can. Let's work harder then ever, everyday to become more like our Savior. Satan has many traps and tricks waiting instore but the Gospel of Jesus Christ will help us overcome anything that comes our way. God lives and loves us all. God be with you always as we strive to be better everyday!

God Has Given More!!

Glad Tidings of Great Joy. God has given us the wonderful privilage to know more of his will and word through the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealings of the inhabitants of the New World, which is here in the Americas. Shows us how a nation when righteous will prosper however when they steer away from the teachings of Jesus Christ taught by the prophets they will be "ripe for destruction". The crowing event of the Book of Mormon is when the Savior himself comes to visit his "sheep" and personally ministers to the Nephites. 

 "We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost.

 Those who gain this dicine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is his revelatior and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah." (Intoduction of the Book of Mormon)

I know with all my heart that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore Christs church back on Earth which was lost after the death of the Savior himself and apostles. Along with the restoration came the Restoration of the priesthood. God has given us everything to return back to Him. You can know of this truth through reading, pondering, and praying about the Book of Mormon. It's the evidence that God has given us. Are you willing?

  

The Same Jersey!

 Everyone is on the same team. We all wear the same jersey, with the same goal in our mind and heart. Love God and then go and love your fellowmen. Let us learn in our lives how we can better be the Lord's hands in fulfilling this goal. I know that God is our Loving Hevenly Father. He will use us to help others and to help support and uplift others as we become willing. I know that this restored gospel can help anyone that is willing to let it. It Strengthens our faith in our Savior Jesus Christ which helps us become more like him and follow his example. Ask yourselves: "How can I be the Lord's hands today?" Think alittle bit, ok know go make your goals. you got that all set, got the plans written down also, go now time to take this piece of advice "Go and Do, Don't sit an Stew!" ~ John Bytheway.

Now more time thinking about it. Go and do. Time to help our fellow brother/sisters who need our help.

I know God loves everyone of his children. Let's go follow his example and do the same!

Happy Mother's Day!!

  To all the mothers of the world. To all those mothers who's kids have left the house cause they're grown up and to those still taking care of the young ones, to all the soon to be mothers who are yet not married . Who ever you maybe I tip my hat for the women of the world and wish you a Happy Mother's Day!
I want to share my eternal love and gratitude for that special person who has given everything for my brothers and siserts and I, my mother. From the prayers to the e-mails all the way to the goody filled care packages. What I love most about my mother is the fact that she is always willing and ready to serve others.  There are many more things that I love about my mom. This is only one thing that I adore and love. I have come to feel and recognize the love that my mother has for all who come in contact with her. The one lesson my mother has taught me is like what the strippling warriors in the Book of Mormon were taught by their mothers, "that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them." (Alma 56:47) that council has changed the course of my life and if I can put my trust in the Lord I can be delivered from the vain things of the world along with overcoming the trials and hardships that occur in my life. I draw strength from those words.
  Thank you again for all the mothers who continue to be the best they can in teaching their children the ways of the Lord along with sacrificing all for the family. And thanks to those who are not yet mothers whatever the reason. You will always have my eternal gratitude. I know that God is looking out after every single one of you. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration

Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration This movie is a movie that I've come to cherish an love. Everytime I gain a stronger testimony from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God and brought back the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and set up his true church back on the Earth. I encourage all to watch with an open heart and cherish what has happened on this Earth!

He is there!!!

And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities. (Alma 7:12)

I know that God knows who we are and recgonizes the trials and afflictions that we have to go through in this Earthly existence. He sent his son, who knows what we are going through cause he's felt before in the Garden of Gethsamene!!! God lives, he will always come to our aid as long as we go to him!!

Families Can Be Together Forever!!

Because of God's love he has give us the oppurtunity to come to this earth and be put in families. People who we will become the closest to on this earth. Who will support and comfort us always. I'm thankful for the family that I've been placed in and no matter what happens to us that we always be with each other, even after this life. Isn't that just a magnificent blessing that God has given us?
 "I have a family here on Earth, they are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity. Families can be together forever, through Hevenly Father's plan. I want to to be with, my own family. And the Lord has shown me how I can. The Lord has shown me how I can."
